Cryptography in C and C++ not only explains the theory behind public key cryptography methods, such as the RSA algorithm, it also presents a technical overview of the Rijndael algorithm recently chosen as the Advanced Encryption Standard by the U.S. Government. Among its other features, the book develops step by step a program package for arithmetic and cryptography, including the all-important multiprecision packages needed for cryptography. Mathematical complexities are avoided, yet in terms that are easy to understand the mathematical basis for these functions is explained.

This expanded, improved second edition includes about 100 pages of new material as well as numerous improvements to the original text.
